I really fell in love with painting vegetables on cutting boards. Painting wood is fascinating!
The painting is made on stretched canvas, 8x10', acrylic.
Originally, I planned to place two tomatoes on the vine in the bowl, and take a picture. However, while I was placing them, the heaviest tomato weighed the bowl down and tried to escape :) And suddenly it was perfect for picture taking! I added a few water drops.... just because I love adding water drops so much! :)
The painting was made on a 5x7x1/8 inch Ampersand gessoed hard board using professional grade acrylic paint.
Today I am having an avocado slice painting! Avocados are certainly a joy to paint, and sometimes it is very hard to stop :) Well, I can easily get carried away, and paint a lot of pretty much anything, but avocados are on top of the list!
I love this piece because it is so bright, and it makes me happy just looking at it! I added a tiny water drop on the table. I thought it would be a tiny cute addition to the piece!
I decided to paint another mushroom painting on a longer deep profile canvas. I got some mushrooms from the local grocery store, and played with mushroom compositions. I've learned that they look cute any way you place them. Each of them has its own character! I just love those tiny cuties! They cheer me up every time I look at them! This one is on 4x12x1.5' deep profile gallery wrapped canvas. Acrylic.

Two Hot Chili Peppers
I started these two chili peppers a while ago, but was not quite happy with my choice of background. Originally, I thought to make it grey, but it looked too boring to me, so I changed it into green with some lighter green mottling. I really like the contrast! Painted on my favorite Ampersand gesso board! Acrylic on 5x7 inch archival board!
My previous customer from the Netherlands inspired me to paint more red chili peppers. After all, red is one of my favorite colors! This dark grey was made of carbon black and titanium white. This black has a tad of a blue bias, love this!
This red chili pepper is a commission for a very nice lady in the Netherlands!
4x12x1.5 inch, acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas.

As I promised, showing another avocado painting. This time, a little larger canvas. I added a little crack on the table surface to add some character. Thinking that one day I should share the process of how I create my paintings from start to finish in stages. Might be fun! Stay with me! :)

Seedless Avocado Half
This little fellow has no seed. The seed was extra fun to paint! Hope you like it! 8x8, acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas.
I've recently tried to paint an avocado half, and it was SO much fun, so I painted quite a few. I used to obsess about pears, now they are probably jealous of avocado :) 8x8', acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas.
I've been recently in the mood to paint tomatoes. Their bright red skin really attracts me!
More to come! :) 5x5', acrylic on Ampersand flat archival gesso board.
